Hi, well here it is in May already, had the 6-rd birthday, which spent in Spokane shopping and had dinner at Aztecas. Just got well from a pulled muscle in hip, so feels good to walk again on my own. Went to church today, felt so good as I lost two Sundays. Had both the grandchildren, Jon and Sharellee here for the day with there dad and was such a blessing to see them all together. I was asked to make two more quilts, so that means three, can't have one left out.
That will have to wait until after VBS tho. Am trying to get these frogs to stuff, sewn for Linda as it is. Boring...but shoudn't think of it that way and just get it done, so that is what I will do. Had news that Christi is thinking of divorce, I sure hope the Lord will give her the happiness she needs, as he takes care of our needs...thats his promise, among many. And I will end this thanking the dear Lord for loving us the way he does.

Gods Fellowship
So much fun and good laughs this weekend. Friday eve Bible study got me giggling and almost hysterical...but that waited until dinner at Dixie and Marcus' on Saturday. Had a wonderful day fellowshipping with other sewers as we made a quilt top. We didn't last beyond dinner, but that is okay as we accomplished what we went for. With Gods touch, all went well and someone will be blessed with it. It's just so much fun getting together with the ladies as we get to know them better and them me. Went into Zips after church today for a hamburger and found out they make breakfasts now too, so had a breakfast.
Now we have to be good until Wednesday. Also checked out a new site Pinterest for recipes. Dixie made a chicken lasagna that was so gooood, and she said they have good recipes. And they do sound good, as I checked on some. Well, am going to go work on a dachsund block....don't ask! Bye for now!

Conklin Street Memories
Well, here are some more memories of living on Conklin, I remember playing church and I was the Sunday School teacher most of the time. I remember my brother Glenn painting our white toilet seat, black and white and it was really neat looking. He was the artist of the family. I remember my cousin Jack always asking me, who hit you with an ugly stick, teasing me. I remember little wild baby kittens that my brother Larry would catch and bring home and we'd get ringworms. Mom was not happy! Also remember these two old ladies(sisters) that lived in front of us in a big brick home that was awesome looking, inside and out. They had a humungus kitchen with a wood cookstove and window seats in the dining and living room. They were the sweetest ladies. I also remember the nastiest teacher a child could have in the fifth grade. She was pregnant and loved to pick on the less fortunate or should I say poor. I made friends with this boy everyone was mean to, because I seen he needed a friend and then she came after me.
She made fun of my hair, said my mom should buy me Prell shampoo, things like that.
Anyway she had to leave to have her baby in mid term, so got a guy teacher that was really nice and I did just fine in his class. It's funny how some things stand out in your mind. I was a happy child, I will say that for most of the time. Stay tuned for some more fond memories of my childhood in Spokane.

Back to My past
Hi, it's been awhile since I've written about my younger days of growing up. Am going to start by my trip in the back of Hugo's truck, moving to Spokane, wash. I was just ten years of age. What a move, to the big city! My first memories, i think was sleeping on the upstairs deck of my aunt Florences...actually it was my cousin Marg's place. Sleeping under the stars on a warm night...I absolutely loved it. We had such a good time there, catching night crawlers by flashlight to fish with...now that was fun to me. I also remember Marg showing us how to make dolls with this flower she had on the side of her house. She was really into her gardening. She had a couch-like swing in the back that we used to be on most of the day...it was that or go to the school yard behind her. I ended up graduating from the 8th grade from there( Logan school). Got to wear pumps(small heels) and a nice dress. We ended living across the street eventually, but that is skipping ahead. The first home I remember was on Conklin, in a 2 story house, duplex I think. My cousins lived next door and we lived in front of a rock pile that we played in all the time.
Was always looking for rattlers, but never came across any. I have so many wonderful memories of my days in Spokane. Well, that is it for now, stay tuned!

Colleen said i could invite someone from church without a place to go and it was so enjoyable. We had Lin and Micky? and Lin played guitar and they both sang Christmas songs after a wonderfully good dinner. Now I am fat ter and miserable, but it was worth it all. I wish i would of thought to bring my camera. Darn it anyway! We had a white christmas with about 11/2 inches. need your help again Kat, can u guess with what? haha! Love you all!

A Wonderful NovemberFull of Gods Blessings!
Well here we are already to the end of november, the time sure flies. Have had a foot of snow and it's already gone. Just before Thanksgiving, Danny came over for hunting and got his deer on the first day, so we got to enjoy him more. Also Jonathon and his gal Anna and baby dumpling( Jonathons dbl.) when he was a baby, came, so we had a early family Thanksgiving
dinner. Its funny because I don't rememb er giving thanks at that time, so am doing now. The
Lord just continues to bless us. We went to Dixies and sewed a bunch of hats for the needy and Dixie ended up helping us also. I signed up for s/s thru Ray, which I wasn't aware that I could do that while he lives, so now we can breath a little easier. Thank you Lord for always providing and for your love and always knowing my needs, being physical as well as other. Have been trying my hand at Sunday School teaching with Lynn and Lorinda and am finding it rewarding most of the time. Am a little upset with self for not being in study of the Word like I should be, but know it will come again. Have been trying to get some sewing done, but am not doing so good lately, so may have to take a breather. Got a new laptop with windows 7 and I just love its desktop gadgets. Well am roasting and am tired, so bye for now!

Fall Has Fallen
Well here it is October, a not so good month as far as I am concerned for memories, but no self pity! I just got rudely awakened by Rays tool going off. Talk about fly out of my skin. Went into Spokane today to get some groceries and so Colleen could exchange a fan also, and it seemed we were in there all day and wore myself out before getting all the groceries I needed, so I guess I will go into Colville and get the rest of them.
Wanted to make tomato sauce tomorrow, but forgot the garlic, green peppers, etc. that I need and was informed we were picking apples tomorrow at Coras. Just finished some ufo;s, such as Jonothans quilt, fixing old quilted tablecloth, my BOM's I got behind on, so am now working on a star quilt by hand. Also trying to sell some stuff on Ebay, wish me luck. I would like to say, I sure feel the presence of the Lord with me all the time and just know when I need him, he's right there, and it is such a wonderful feeling and wish it for all my family and friends and enemies. I hope they accept his gift of salvation and get to know him. To my family especially, I hope you know I love you and God loves you more than you can fathom, so reach out to him please! Stopped at Dixies today also and seen all her turkeys she is raising and she has 3 different kinds, really enjoyed that. Ray almost has all the pine varathaned and now we will be putiing the trim around the doors and windows after we varathane them too! Well I guess that is all for now.
